Question:

Cherry Pie Genetics?

Went to CPA a few days ago and grabbed a little sample of the Cherry Pie Shatter, and I was really interested in the genetics because the flavor of this shatter is truly one of a kind to me. I then decided to look online just to take a quick gooogle search on “Cherry Pie Strain Genetics” and these are the things I see…
GDP X OG
GDP X Durban Poison
OG X Purple Afghani
GDP X Durban X OG
Cherry Kush
Cherry Kush x Durban Poison

What is the “true Cherry Pie cut”? and what cut made this shatter?

Odds are your never gonna find out the TRUE genetics behind it.. Breeders who make legendary strains like these dont want the genetics getting leaked they want that as there staple strain they created it dont want anyone fucking it up :D

Not at all true. Lab testing tells genetics.

I’m not sure if I am correct or not but from what I read cherry pie is an OG x GDP x Durban Poison cross

Well then my question to you is…iassuming those genetics are correct, the strain Girl Scout Cookies (Cherry Pie X OG) would have the lineage of (OG X GDP X Durban Poison) X OG? That just seems a little insane, but you never know these days….

@Rasta nice job, you were close haha.
GSC = ([GDP x OG Kush] x F1 Durban) x OG Kush (backcross).

Have no idea what what cut went into the Chrerry Pie Shatter at CPA. But I am almost 100% that real deal Cherry Pie is; OG Kush x GDP x F1 Durban Poison.

F1 Durban is said to be one of the best tasting strains out there, so mixed with a heavy purple and sweet OG I could see the outcome being some bomb cherry flavored bud.

Well here is the truth. Through research I have narrowed it down to two possibilites GDP x F1 Durban Poison or Cherry Kush X F1 Durban Poison. The reason being it is well known that Girl Scout Cookies is Cherry Pie x OG. The two collectives in Northern California “The Hemp Center” In San Fran and “Berkeley Patient Group” claim they have “true genetics” all do not have a double OG cross, but rather a GDP X Poison, or a Cherry X Poison. Once you add the OG it becomes the beloved Girl Scout Cookies that is being taking all over these days. I also have narrowed down thie cut in the shatter, and im pretty sure it is a GDP X F1 Posion.and that is why it taste so good. two epic strains together in harmony!

      Nice, good to know!

But I’m pretty sure there is OG in the real Cherry Pie. The OG back cross is what brings back the traits to make it girl scout.

      StonedHero is 100% correct, GDP X F1Durban x OG.

There’s no OG in cherry pie f1 durb x gdp. and the real girl scout cookie doesn’t have any GDP its f1 durb x flo_rida i got this info from the creator.

dont get things confused though. i know a lot of you guys just started smoking on shatter and stable oil. one thing you need to know is that oil tastes different depending on a ton of variables. i feel that it really depends on who grew the material, and how it was grown. also who ran the material, and how it was purged.
this could just be one of the first nice tasting shatters youve had, so now youre trippin over it.

Completely true. As long as the extractor know what he/she is doing; Fire bud in = Fire oil out.

i do agree with you, from experience not all cannabinoids/terpenes come through the BHO process. Having said that, it doesnt mean i’m necessarily trippin over it. I have been on a concentrate only diet for a little over a year now, It is clear to me that all fire errls have an intensified flavor variation of the flowers it was blasted from.

Even if you had the three strains it came from you never know in what order they crossed them in, or how many back crosses it took to get that specific cut. So unless your talking to the originator of the strain I would take any information with a grain of salt.

GSC = F1 Durban x OG (not just any og)
    Cherry Pie = F1 Durban x Grandaddy

    according to the breeder
